Happy New Year 2010
January 1, 2010 | | Posted in EventWoot! Before the day end, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Gosh, 2009 passed by swiftly. I was assigned to shoot at One Utama 2010 Countdown concert yesterday. I got there after work to avoid the traffic madness. Still..the traffic was still quite daunting. I hung out at StudioV with Patrick, Maggie, Erin and Leomini while waiting for the concert to start. 988 did a quick interview with Paul and Yip Sai Wing and I missed it!~ Dang..Else I would have gotten some exclusive shots. Anyhow, it was really an eye opening experience to witness a LIVE 988 broadcasting from StudioV. Now I know how the whole DJ-ing is about. It s pretty interesting. Okok. By 8 pm, the event started. They had about 6-7 artistes performing but what the crowd was waiting for was…BEYOND.. Wait wait..Not me k..It s both Paul and Yip Sai Wing. Crowd went crazy when they came on and they did rocked the nite. We were also treated to some really awesome fireworks last nite. Here are some pics from the nite. Cheers!
Paul rocking the nite
Yip Sai Wing used to be a drummer. Now he sings..;)

Weddding: Wayne Lee and Jewel
December 18, 2009 | Tags: Black and White, Love, Weddings | Posted in WeddingHi all. Yesterday my cousin, Wayne Lee married Jewel. Congrats to them. It was a joyous occasion. Cousins and close friends were part of the ‘heng dai’ entourage. My car was assigned as the roast pork transporter. For that, I received a cool angpow from Jewel’s mom. Thanks Aunty. I got to Wayne’s place around 7 am and by 7.30 am we were off to Kota Damansara to pick up the bride. Took some quick shots as the photographer was at Jewel’s place. We were 45 minutes late to Kota Damansara as we had to endured the morning traffic rush. When we got there, the ‘chi mui’s requested us to do a 45 push ups. Hahaha. The young and fit was given the task to complete it!
After that, we were required to participate in the games. The first game was to wear disposable underwears with graffiti
Now..This is not your regular graffiti. Each underwear’s graffiti makes up the work I ‘heart’ u Jewel. It was worn throughout the games session. Next session was our regular sweet, sour, bitter and spicy session. Hahaha. For sweet session, we treated to soda biscuit laced with condensed milk. Kacang putih lar..The heng dais gobbled them down in no time. Lemon were used for the sour session. It was also kacang putih to us coz..We love sourish stuffs! Hahaha. Raw bitter gourd or ‘fu kuah’ was served for the bitter session. Hahaha. Can you belief us tucking them in as though they are guava fruit? Now, the chi muis were thinking, hmm..Why the guys are like no reaction to all these. So..They did a double dose of wasabi soda biscuit to really spice things up. Now..this became a problem. Mr Wayne decided to take this..Tears of joy nearly came out..Hahahaha!
Next game was, we had a paper with several lipstick marks. We had to guess which was Jewel’s lipstick mark. Now, I asked Wayne, did you asked Jewel prior to this to give you a mark as guideline. He said no…Aiyah. How to guess lar. And we decided to follow the size of the lipstick..Hahaha. The first guess was wrong and we had to do some yoga posses. But guess what, we made the correct guess at the 2nd guess. Hahaha. Door had to be opened. But not before some haggling of the fee. Kekeke. Money were passed over and voila..Doors opened.
Now, at this stage. We cant help wayne anymore. He had to sing a song by David Tao. I think the title of the song is ‘I love you’. Now, being English educated, we dun understand a word of mandarin. Wayne had a good portable Karaoke handphone that played out the song. All he had to do was ..Sing along. And we did too..At the Chorus part, where we sang I love you and did some wave LOL. And he did it well lar. He had one last bit to be done before the door ’s finally opened. He had to sign a contract. Kekekeke. Anyway, Wayne receives Jewel the bride form the father in law and the tea ceremony commence. And after that, we headed back to Jinjang using a shorter route this time. Hahahah. I took the opportunity to take some pics and here are they. Nothing special..But the least I can do for my cousin brother.

Zouk: DJ Armin Van Buuren
December 14, 2009 | Tags: DJ Armin Van Buuren, World No 1 DJ, Zouk KL | Posted in EventYesterday was a crazy nite. It was Sunday but yet..An exciting and superb event took place. The man voted 3 times as number one DJ in DJ’s Mag annual Top 100 vote, DJ Armin Van Buuren made a quick stopover at Zouk KL after Singapore to spin his stuffs. This is the first time I met Armin face to face. Am not really star struck ed, but this guy is famous. I have listened to his stuffs before. I can say it s good. But a recorded album is nothing compared to a LIVE performance. I got to Zouk around 930 pm to cover the press con. A small gathering attended by tv crew and a reporter from Star Publication. Armin was pretty frenly and he said ” Guys, come on closer and ask questions”. Cool! I thought. He is frenly and I was not shy. I went up close to take pictures. Okok. Although I do listen to his stuffs, I didnt know Armin was actually a law graduate. So guys, go out and live your dreams!
The nite was still young and the crowd streamed in steadily. I thought many will opt not to come as Monday was a working day. Boy..Was I wrong. By 11 pm, Zouk mainroom was already packed to the brim. I regretted not getting in earlier. I was not able to get to the front deck to get a clean shot of Armin doing his thing. Shooting from sideway was no good either. The crowd was huge and attempts to get to the front was futile. I end up with few shots only. Odd it may seems, yesterday the crowd was predominately Middle East folks. Ah..They really know how to party. Anyhow, again I m in BW mood and converted a few pics. Not really good pics..But something to share. Trance music is good.

Zouk Sh*t Disco (DJSet/UK) Supported by Lapsap
November 22, 2009 | Tags: Clubbing, Shit Disco UK, Zouk KL | Posted in EventMorning! Phew..Last nite was seriously a marathon. Was running around since 7 am till 3 am the next day. Ah..First of all, I would like to extend my congratulations to Stephanie Koh. She got married yesterday to her sweetheart. Was at the dinner held at Equitorial Hotel. Food was good and the ambiance was good. Met up with alot of my classmates from UCSI. Ahhaha. It s nearly 4 years I left college. Most of my classmates are married. Imagine most of the ladies on my table were either pregnant or has a kid already. I guess my wife and me should play Catch up! I was telling them that next year during my wedding dinner, I ll have one table specially for babies. Hehehe. What fun it will be.
After dinner, I headed to Zouk to cover and event. It was Sh*t Disco (DJ Set/UK) Supported by Lapsap. I wanted to shoot Lapsap coz I really like their music. Its good and catchy. But I was there late due to the bad jam along Jalan Raja Chulan. Anyhow, the DJs from UK was really good. For a moment, I thought I was in UK club scene (hahaha..Nupp..Never been to UK *Paiseh*) I was also surfing around the other rooms, Aristo, Velvet and Phuture. It was quite packed last nite. Saw some familiar faces. Hahaha. Dang..I think I m addicted to clubbing somehow. No ..I dun club, but when you are inside, you kinda groove to the tune.. Here are some pics to kickstart the day. Enjoy.

Let s get the party goin shall we?

I have always wanted to shoot a concert. But never seems to have the chance to do so. I finally got to do so a few weeks ago. Sunway surf beach played host to Akon. I got there quite late as I had something to attend to earlier. Thank God I was late. The concert only started around 8.30 pm. The crowd was quick to warm up to Akon. One thing I can conclude is, Akon is truly an artist. The highlight of the nite was …He dove into the crowd a couple of time. He even body surfed from the stage to the end of the stage. One word..Siao. Hahaha. But I enjoyed it. Hehehe. Anyhow, this is the first post in the new web. Am still trying to iron out the details. Hope you guys like the new layout. I have to extend thanks to Andychin for the customization and Benjamin Lim for the base theme codes. Cheers.
Note: For those who may asked why cant see Akon’s face..It is intended
